About the Chickens
Our Flock
At Ryder's Roosting Ranch, we believe great birds start with great care. Our chickens are raised in a free-range environment where they spend their days foraging, exploring, and doing what chickens were designed to do. The exception is during breeding season, when select breeding groups—such as Boss and his Zombie Squad ladies—are managed separately to ensure intentional pairings and preserve the traits we're working to produce.
Nutrition is a top priority on our ranch. Our flock is fed high-quality Kalmbach Feeds, providing the nutrients needed to support strong health, vibrant feathering, and excellent egg production. Combined with plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and room to roam, we believe this creates the foundation for healthy, happy birds.
